Sandpipers in Ostend

The Belgian North Sea coast is a 67 kilometer sandy beach. Located in the middle is the port of Ostend. Breakwaters protect the port and city. Around the rocky breakwaters, sandpipers rest or search for food: Dunlins, Sanderlings, Turnstones and Purple Sandpipers.
